RealLifeCorp (“we”, “us”, “our”) develops and publishes the mobile game BubbleGames (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles, how it is used, and the choices available to you.
BubbleGames is designed to be privacy-respecting: it has no advertising, no analytics or tracking SDKs, and no user accounts. We operate no server of our own, and no information about you is sent to us.
If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at reallifecorpo@gmail.com.
The following is kept on your device using local storage (shared preferences). None of it is sent to us.
child or adult. See “Children’s Privacy” for how it is worked out, and for what is deliberately not kept. Please see “Data Retention” below regarding automatic device backups, which may copy this information off your device.
When you join or host a local multiplayer session, your device exchanges the following with the other phones in that session, directly over your local Wi-Fi network:
This communication is peer-to-peer on the local network. It does not pass through the internet, and it does not reach any server operated by us or by a third party.
While your device is hosting a game, it broadcasts a small message to your local network about once a second so that other phones can list your game on their join screen. That message contains:
SpicyYak's board — so your username may appear in it.This is a broadcast, not a targeted message. Any device on the same local network can receive it, including devices that never join your game. It still never leaves your local network.
The App can use your device’s camera to scan the QR code displayed on a host’s screen, as one way of joining a game. The camera preview is processed on your device in order to read the code, and no image, photo or video is stored, saved, or transmitted anywhere.
The camera is optional. You can also join by picking a game from the list your device finds automatically, and the App will not ask for camera access unless you choose to scan.
BubbleGames offers a one-time in-app purchase that unlocks premium content. Purchases are handled as follows:
Please note that the RevenueCat SDK is started when the App launches, not only when you make a purchase, so that content you already own is unlocked before you open the games list. At that point it may send your installation’s anonymous identifier, along with technical information such as your device model, operating system version and IP address, to RevenueCat’s servers. This happens for every player, whether or not a purchase is ever made.
RevenueCat acts as a third-party processor for this purpose. You can review RevenueCat’s privacy practices at https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy.
Because the App has no user accounts, purchases are tied to your app store account. If you reinstall the App or switch devices, use the Restore Purchases option to recover your premium access.
We use the information described above only to:
We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, analytics, or any form of tracking.
We do not sell your information and we do not share it for advertising. Information is only shared in these limited ways:
BubbleGames is family-friendly and intended for a general audience, which may include children.
The age question. When you first open the App, it asks when you were born. The question is asked neutrally: it does not tell you what any answer changes, and the App behaves identically on the way out whichever answer is given.
What is kept. The date you enter is used once, to work out a category, and is then discarded. It is never written to storage and never transmitted. What is saved on your device is a single word — child or adult — and nothing else. Your date of birth is not retained by the App, or by us, in any form.
If the App determines that the user is under the applicable age threshold:
SpicyYak) and cannot be edited. A player can ask for a different one, but every possible result comes from that same fixed list. What is still shared, and why. So that this is not overstated: a child’s device, like any other, still shares its player colour, its screen measurements and its random device identifier with the other phones in a session over the local network, and still contacts RevenueCat at launch with an anonymous installation identifier, as described above. These values are randomly generated or purely technical and say nothing about who is holding the phone, but they are persistent identifiers, and we would rather name them here than claim that nothing at all is transmitted.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The App has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no free-text entry available to a child, and we do not build a profile of any user.
In-app purchases are subject to the parental authentication controls provided by the app store.
If you are a parent or guardian and you believe a child has provided personal information in a way not described here, please contact us at reallifecorpo@gmail.com and we will address it.
Information stored locally by the App remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App.
Automatic device backups. Both Android and iOS back up app settings by default, and BubbleGames does not opt out of this. This means the information listed under “Stored on your device” — including your username, your device identifier and your age category — may be copied to your Google account (Android Auto Backup) or included in your iCloud or computer backup (iOS), and restored automatically if you reinstall the App or set up a new device. These backups are managed by Android, iOS and your account settings, not by us, and we have no access to them.
You can control this in Android: Settings → Google → Backup, or in iOS: Settings → [your name] → iCloud, where you can also delete an existing backup.
Purchase records are retained by the app store and by RevenueCat according to their own policies.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Significant changes will be reflected in the App or on the page where this policy is hosted.
